Jonathan Scott Goldman is a different kind of lobbyist.
Goldman Relations is a different kind of firm.
Using his experience and insight as a public and private sector lawyer – and as a strategist – Jonathan represents and advises select private sector clients on a wide array of government relations matters.
Skills Honed Over Years
Jonathan cares about smart policy and effective government. Though he sometimes enjoys a good bourbon, Jonathan eschews cigars and smoke-filled rooms, preferring instead to work in fresh air and sunlight.
Jonathan navigates strategy in novel and creative ways. As a strategic thinker, his ability to help clients in government relations has been nurtured over time and forged through personal relationships and unique life experiences.
About Jonathan
Growing up outside of Baltimore, Jonathan attended Gilman School, which was one of the most diverse private all-boys schools in the nation. After graduating from high school in 1992, he attended Princeton University.
At Princeton, Jonathan majored in what was then called the Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and International Affairs, creating his own focus area: How domestic policy has influenced the development of racial, ethnic, religious, and gender-based groups.
Jonathan picked up a camera during freshman year, minored in visual art, and created a thesis in each.
Relationships, Politics, and Policy go Hand-in-Hand
Goldman Relations, LLC believes in relationships, understands politics, and is driven by policy. Goldman Relations does not accept all matters presented. It will only agree to help if it believes in the mission and can see a pathway to success.
Government Relations is a Process
Goldman Relations, LLC starts this process by learning further about the issues, the current political landscape, and the client’s position. This happens with direct client involvement and through performing additional research.
From there, customized strategies are developed to address the client’s goals. For more complex or nuanced policy issues, Goldman Relations may sometimes recommend involving additional professionals to build a broader or more specialized team.
